I’m sure you’ve heard about the new healthy trend of juicing (or not so new…)
It became a new verb: Juicing – do you juice? Does he juice? Yes, we all juice!
Well, even though I’m not a fan of trends, I must recognize that I completely love this one; not only because it’s healthy, but also because I just LOVE vegetable juice!
Yea, I was the kind of kid who didn’t like food and refused to eat anything but a good salad with lots of lemon juice.

There are many health benefits to juicing, for example it helps to absorb all the nutrients from vegetables (cooking them destroys their micronutrients by altering their shape and chemical composition). When you drink juice, highly concentrated vitamins, minerals and enzymes rapidly enter the bloodstream absorbing all the nutritional benefits of the fruits and vegetables, giving your digestive organs a much-needed rest.

Other good benefits of juicing: it allows you to consume an optimal amount of vegetables in an efficient manner; juicing facilitates weight loss, increases energy levels, strengthens immunity and more.

I believe that in order to add something to your diet, it must be tasty; otherwise, it will become a nightmare. You can try different combinations and add fruits for a sweeter taste. Just find what suits you and let’s start juicing!

My favorite recipe is: Green apple, cucumber, parsley, coriander, celery, lemon, ginger (sometimes pineapple too) and a bit of cayenne pepper (I love spicy and it has several properties!) – Love love love!

Just remember that even though it’s healthy (and tasty), it doesn’t replace a regular meal, because these juices don’t have protein and they should be used in addition, not instead.

What’s your favorite combination?!
